Sheepdog Tax Resolution

Privacy Policy

Sheepdog Tax Resolution is operated by Sheepdog Prosperity Partners LLC, a Texas limited liability company (the Firm). This policy describes how the Firm collects, uses and discloses personal information through sheepdogtaxres.com and in providing tax resolution services.

Information the Firm collects

The Firm's website forms ask for details such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred meeting dates and times, time zone or city, how you found the Firm, the type and approximate amount of tax owed, whether returns are unfiled, the relief or protection you are seeking, notice or lien numbers, and a message describing your situation. Depending on the form, entries are stored in the Firm's website database, and copies are emailed to its business mailboxes.

If you engage the Firm, it may collect additional information needed for tax resolution services, such as Social Security numbers, tax records and payment information, through the channels the Firm designates for that purpose.

The Firm also receives information about website visits through the technologies described under Website analytics and advertising technology.

What not to send through website forms

Please do not include Social Security numbers, Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs), bank or credit card numbers, passwords or documents in website forms. If documents or identifiers are needed, the Firm will tell you how to provide them.

How the Firm uses information

The Firm uses personal information to respond to inquiries, assess whether it can assist, provide requested guides, schedule and prepare for consultations, provide tax resolution services, communicate with you about your inquiry or engagement, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and protect against fraud and misuse. Submitting a form does not create a client relationship, book a consultation or set a fee.

How the Firm discloses information

The Firm does not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers that help the Firm operate its website, forms, email and services; when required by law, such as to comply with federal tax requirements or legal process; and in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of business assets. The analytics and advertising technologies described below also receive information about website visits.

Website analytics and advertising technology

When you visit sheepdogtaxres.com, the site loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. They collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, clicks on the Firm's phone number, and the fact that certain forms were submitted (not what you typed). They also collect general device, browser and approximate location information. Google Analytics uses cookies.

The site also loads the Meta Pixel, which sends Meta information about your visit, such as the page you viewed, along with browser and device information and cookie identifiers. The Firm uses it to measure visits to its site and to support its marketing on Facebook and Instagram. Meta processes this information under its own terms and policies.

Some forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, which Google processes under its own terms.

The site also loads fonts from Google and from another font delivery service, which receive your Internet Protocol (IP) address when the fonts load.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can review how Meta uses activity from other websites in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including if you are a California resident, you may have the right to request access to the categories and specific pieces of personal information the Firm has collected about you, to request deletion of that information subject to legal exceptions such as tax, legal and regulatory requirements, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. The Firm does not sell personal information. To make a request, contact the Firm using the details below. The Firm will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Security

The Firm takes reasonable measures to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and the Firm cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

The Firm keeps personal information as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law, including tax, legal and regulatory requirements.

Children's privacy

The Firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact the Firm, and the Firm will take steps to delete that information.

The Firm may update this policy. It will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the date below.
